Manifesto PolyPortugal

English version:
Poly Portugal is a group of people who believe in Consensual Non-Monogamy. The objective of the group are to fight for the rights of non-monogamous individuals, combat mononormativity, create spaces for discussion, mutual support and celebration of this orientation/relationship style as well as general information.

Within the group, there are people who identify with multiple forms of consensual non-monogamy including, but not limited to, polyamory, relationship anarchy and open relationships, along with people who are curious about the topic but identify with other consensual relationship styles such as monogamy. We believe that each person should be able to decide with whom and how they wish to relate as long as it is within the bounds of consent and safety. However, we encourage critical thinking and analysis when considering all types of relationship structures especially when these reproduce social norms or privileges (examples: couple privilege, one-penis policies, unicorn hunting, ethnic fetichism or exclusion, among others).

Within this group, there are also multiple religions, political opinions, gender and sexual orientations and identities, nationalities, languages, ages and cultures. Poly Portugal is against homophobia, racism, fascism, slut-shaming, bodyshaming, kinkshaming and all other forms of discrimination. We support human rights and intersectional feminism. We position ourselves against all violations of human rights and support other collectives and movements who share these values.
